From the very first moment I met Allison and Andrew, I knew their wedding would be a heartfelt celebration. As the lead photographer for Limelight Photography, capturing love stories through photojournalistic photography is my passion, and their special day at The Resort at Longboat Key Club did not disappoint.

Allison and Andrew’s love story began with a serendipitous “super swipe” on Bumble, leading to a long conversation over coffee at Buddy Brew in Hyde Park. Their journey together took a monumental turn when Andrew proposed at sunrise atop Haleakala Crater in Maui—a romantic and unforgettable moment that set the tone for their future together.

Their wedding day was a beautiful reflection of their shared love for the ocean, adventure, and each other. The tropical, beach-themed ceremony took place on the private white sand beach of the resort, with the sound of steel drums playing soca music in the background, creating a perfect Caribbean vibe. The lush greenery and classic florals were a stunning backdrop to their vows, which were a mix of personal promises and traditional commitments.

One of the most touching moments was seeing Andrew’s 100-year-old grandmother be part of the day, adding a sense of legacy and family continuity to the celebration. The reception was equally enchanting, filled with laughter, dancing, and unique personal touches like custom drinks named after their pets and a choreographed first dance to “Moon River,” serenaded by Allison’s childhood friend.

Their DIY projects added a charming and personal touch, from the creatively painted cornhole boards to the globe guest book. What made this wedding truly unique were the heartfelt moments and the genuine love shared between Allison and Andrew.
