NACE Steps Into The Limelight | Yacht StarShip | Tampa, FL

Capturing Chills and Thrills: NACE Network Event "What Scares You" at Yacht StarShip

Lights, camera, spooky action! Limelight Photography recently had the thrilling opportunity to photograph the "What Scares You" network event hosted by the National Association for Catering and Events (NACE) at the iconic Yacht StarShip in Tampa, Florida. With a spine-tingling theme and a competitive best costume contest, this evening was nothing short of a hauntingly good time.

Yacht StarShip, known for its luxurious cruises along Tampa Bay, transformed into a haunted vessel for the evening. As guests boarded the ship, they were greeted by eerie décor, dimly lit lanterns, and an air of anticipation for a night filled with surprises and fun.

Limelight Photography had the privilege of capturing the eerie elegance of the evening. We were there to document all the highlights, from the creative costumes, genuine smiles and connections formed during the event. With a commitment to storytelling through images, we ensured that every memorable moment was beautifully preserved for attendees to look back on.

Morgan + Hunter Step Into The Limelight | Yacht StarShip | Clearwater Beach, FL

In May of 2016 is where it all began for Hunter & Morgan…

These two had mutual friends and met at a bar while in Morgan was in college. In July of 2016 is when they made it official and started dating.

Hunter and Morgan love being on the water and the warm weather that comes with visiting Florida (since these two currently live in Virginia!). They found the Yacht Starship when they were down visiting Hunter’s parents in Clearwater. They went on a tiki boat ride and saw the Yacht while they were out and then immediately looked into it for their big day!

How Hunter proposed:

Morgan said… “I thought he was hunting per usual on the weekends in November. His mom was in town and we went for a girl's day at one of my favorite vineyards - Upper Shirley Vineyard. We were drinking wine when all of a sudden Hunter tapped me on the shoulder out of nowhere! He walked me down by the water and proposed!”.

We are so happy for these two. Their love and happiness is radiant and they are just so excited to be married after 7 years together!

Danielle + Tom Step Into The Limelight | Yacht StarShip | Tampa, FL

Danielle and Tom’s story starts in 2015 when they were both working in New York. They began carpooling together because they lived close, and those car rides eventually turned into date nights.

Because it’s oh-so romantic, we just have to tell you how Tom proposed…

Tom invited Danielle along with both of their parents to enjoy the Christmas light show at Jones Beach in NY while visiting for Thanksgiving. While walking through the winter wonderland, everyone stopped to take pictures and to take in the beautiful Christmas lights. After posing for an odd amount of time for pictures and videos, Tom took a step back, with a shaky voice said "I love you so much" and got on one knee in front of their parents. Not only was this the most beautiful moment and atmosphere, but it was, by no coincidence, the same place they shared their first date 6 summers before.

While Danielle and Tom now live in the Tampa Bay area, much of their family came from out of town, so they wanted their wedding celebration to be like a vacation for all of their loved ones! What a fun reverse-destination wedding for the couple, but sweet getaway for family.

These two wanted a simple, but stunning wedding day—and that’s just what they got. With a beautiful ride in Tampa Bay, a fun lunch-style wedding, and a whole day to spare in Tampa following the celebration, it was truly a relaxing and joyful occasion.

Tasha + Sergio Step Into The Limelight | Yacht StarShip | Tampa, FL

Tasha and Sergio… So much love and laughter within their beautiful family.

Tasha and Sergio have been together for 11 years now and have spent the last two married. Their family and friends traveled from afar to be able to celebrate with them and their kids as they renewed their vows on the beautiful Yacht Starship. With beautiful weather, happy energy and an incredible sunset, the night was flawless.

Prior to their First Look, Tasha was nervous… even though they’re already married (too sweet!). Those nerves quickly subsided as soon as she saw Sergio smiling at her. The entire time we were with them, you could tell how much their family loves them. Their youngest daughter even cried during her first look with her dad—cue everyone’s tears.

Tasha and Sergio’s vow renewal was so sweet to witness and we wish them many more happy years of marriage and fond memories for the beautiful life they’ve built together.

Jenny + Shane Step Into The Limelight | Yacht StarShip Cruises & Events | Tampa, FL

…We have found the one for whom our soul loves…

Jenny and Shane’s wedding day was a special, yet relaxed, celebration of their commitment to one another. They have been together five years, engaged for two of those years and really just wanted the confirmation of their commitment to be something simple in a beautiful place surrounded by the most important people in our lives. Their wedding day was stay true to the story of them - a little bit crazy, a little bit loud, and a whole lot of love.  As much as the day was beautiful and wonderful, Jenny and Shane are most looking forward to continuing their life together as husband and wife.

They met in high over school 20 years ago. They reconnected on Facebook in 2015 and started dating January 2016.  At  Thanksgiving 2018 dinner Shane proposed with all of the kids in attendance.  Jenny and Shane compliment each other, they are best friends, they call each other out on our stuff and they are supportive of each other! They are both foodies, and like trying new restaurants. They like to travel and experience new things together.  They enjoy the outdoors, kayaking, fishing, camping, hunting, hiking/walking. They just enjoy hanging out and being together. They love spending time with our kids and grandkids and mutual friends, bowling and go-cart racing, mini golf, amusement parks, etc. They say they are either really lazy together or really adventurous :)

Their first vacation as a couple and family was to Clearwater Beach, best time ever, and it just felt fitting to go back to the place they really bonded as a family at first to say their vows. What started as a simple plan for them to marry on the beach evolved in to something quite a bit more elaborate. Getting married on the Yacht Starship really changed the story of the wedding, and inspired their color choices. Jenny’s ivory dress was flowing and elegant and she wanted something similar for my daughters. The dusty rose color is so pretty and looked stunning on them against the backdrop of the sea. Of course the blue suits for the guys were perfect to set sail sat sea, so really things just all started to fall into place after they booked their venue. They loved the idea of getting married at sea, as no one they know has ever done that!

Some of the most special moments include Jenny getting ready with her girls, and her son walking her down the aisle to give away to Shane. Celebrating with life long friends, and creating memories with the people that mean the most to her remaining in this world’s an incredible joy to capture. Holding hands as husband and wife, enjoying good food and wine, seeing his face when he first saw her ready to go, getting married at sea by a Captain, saying their vows and kissing for the first time as man and wife, watching the sunset while at sea.….all magical moments!
