a special story written by the bride and groom…
The start of our journey:
“Jordan and I knew of each other back in high school but we did not share any classes and we never attempted to talk to each other. A few years after graduating high school, we met up with mutual friends at a lounge near the University of South Florida. After that evening, Jordan reached out to me through Facebook. We immediately hit it off and went on our first date shortly there after.
The Proposal:
In July 2017, we went to Hawaii as part of Jordan's family reunion and to celebrate our 6 year anniversary. This was the first time Jordan and I had ever been to Hawaii. Jordan's grandmother was from Hawaii and he has deep ties to his family with much love for these islands.
On July 23, 2017 we were driving up the side of a mountain to reach the Mauna Kea summit. We drove up this mountain with his parents who had rented a Jeep. We had little warning that the temperature at the peak would be 25 degrees so we were unprepared and ended up freezing in our shorts and thin long sleeves. However, the view from the summit is something we will never forget and it was worth the frost bite haha.
On our way back down from the summit, we stopped on the side of the dirt road to take a picture with this gorgeous back drop. The clouds looked like we could walk on them since they were level with the edge of the cliff. As his mom was taking the picture, he said to me "You know I love you, right?". When I turned towards him, he was down on one knee with this beautiful ring and asked "Will you marry me?". I was definitely caught off guard but, of course, I said yes. I can not even describe the emotions that were running through us that moment. That will be one of the most memorable days of our lives and I am sure it will not be our last as we continue to build our lives together.”
How amazing is that?
Katelyn & Jordan beamed LOVE on their wedding day, they tied the knot at the gorgeous and charming Town Manor on the Lake which was the perfect setting for their intimate ceremony and fun-filled reception the entire venue felt like home.
Their families and friends enjoyed a gorgeous evening during the First Dances on the patio { so romantic… } A Town Manor tradition is for the bride and groom to sign a frame during the reception, making it all so official and special.
The sunset portion { always my favorite! } was so elegant and lake Juliana made it all feel so enchanting.
We loved being able to capture this couple, we could not have asked for anything more perfect.
We wish Katelyn & Jordan ALL good things in life… Cheers to many more adventures!
