When Krista and John first met at a casual game night organized by mutual friends, they couldn’t have imagined how that evening would transform their lives. Krista’s friend was dating John’s friend, and that couple eventually married—setting a serendipitous stage for these two to find their own love story. Fast forward to last November in Cozumel, where the couple shared an unforgettable moment in the heart of one of their favorite pastimes: fitness challenges. John had originally planned to pop the question at the finish line of an Ironman race they both completed, but after pushing through incredible challenges, he found himself in need of hydration in the med tent post-race. Yet, in true romantic fashion, he seized another moment, whisking Krista away two days later to the shores of Cozumel. Under the open sky and the gentle lull of the ocean, John asked Krista to be his forever. The beautiful beach backdrop and the spontaneity of the proposal made it a magical memory they’ll cherish forever.
What makes Krista and John’s relationship so special is how they bring out the best in each other. Krista adores John’s sense of humor, kindness, honesty, and dedication to those he loves. She laughs, “The fact he’s so hot is definitely a bonus!” Meanwhile, John can’t help but admire Krista’s passion for life, her endless curiosity, and the way her excitement brings joy and energy to everyone around her. From travel to triathlons, she’s been a guiding inspiration, even encouraging John’s daughter to take on her first triathlon—a challenge she may never have considered without Krista’s infectious enthusiasm.
Together, Krista and John love to explore, learn, and laugh. Whether traveling, swimming, running, or relaxing at the beach, their time is always filled with adventure and joy. Their shared love for new experiences and simply having a good time is what led them to create a wedding day focused on what they love most: celebrating with family and friends.
