In Marlyse’s words:
“When we first met, I showed up at the wrong bar in Cincinnati (to be fair, they both started with the letter "R"). Matt crossed the street to find me and that quickly turned into hours of non-stop conversation and laughs until 2am. Even though I was flying to Florida to visit my family for 3 weeks the next morning, not a day has gone by since where we haven't spoken.”
How Matt proposed:
“We traveled to Tampa for what I thought was just a house-hunting trip, as we were considering moving there. However, when we pulled up to the airbnb, I realized it was much nicer than the one I thought we had booked. We went upstairs, and Matt told me to look behind the pillow in the bedroom. Ever since a vacation a year prior, he had joked that one day I would find a ring under there. I pulled the pillow aside to find an empty box and when I turned around, he was down on one knee with a ring. "YES!" I said as we both started sobbing. He surprised me again when I found out that some of my closest friends were on their way to join us in Florida for the weekend to celebrate.”
Talk about a beautiful love story AND a beautiful wedding day! Marlyse and Matt tied the knot at the incredible Ringling Museum and we just couldn’t get enough. Their ceremony and reception spaces were absolutely breathtaking. Marlyse and Matt moved to Florida in the last year and fell in love when they saw this venue space (and rightfully so!).
Their day was elegant, laid-back, fun, and a definite party all night long. We adore these two and truly wish them so many beautiful years together!
