Rebecca + Jacob Step Into The Limelight | The Rusty Pelican | Tampa, FL

Rebecca and Jacob tied the knot on a beautiful fall day with a stunning waterfront wedding at The Rusty Pelican in Tampa, Florida. As a Tampa wedding photographer, capturing their love story against the iconic backdrop of this venue was a dream come true.

Their story began in the summer of 2022, when they met while working at a summer camp in upstate New York. What started as a close friendship eventually blossomed into a beautiful relationship a few months later. Now, their love is built on shared adventures, Disney World trips, trying new restaurants, cruising the seas, and quiet days just enjoying each other's company.

When it came time to choose a wedding venue, Rebecca and Jacob visited several locations, but nothing compared to the breathtaking views and sentimental value of The Rusty Pelican. Not only did the waterfront views sweep them off their feet, but the venue also held special meaning. Rebecca’s parents had celebrated their own wedding reception there years ago, making it the perfect place to start this new chapter together.

Their Tampa Bay wedding was filled with heartfelt moments, joyful tears, and laughter among family and friends. The sunset over the bay offered the perfect golden hour for portraits, highlighting the genuine connection and excitement between the newlyweds.

From the emotional first look to their unforgettable first dance under twinkling lights, every detail of Rebecca and Jacob’s wedding day reflected who they are as a couple— laid-back, joyful, and deeply in love.

Paige + Anthony Step Into The Limelight | Hotel Haya | Ybor, FL

A Timeless Celebration at Hotel Haya

Limelight Photography had the privilege of capturing Paige and Anthony’s wedding day—a beautiful love story that began in 2015 when they met while working at Johns Hopkins Hospital. On her birthday, Anthony brought her cake during her lunch break, a thoughtful gesture that marked the start of their journey together.

Years later, Anthony proposed at Ballast Point, a location tied to their shared love for Tampa. Under the backdrop of the stunning skyline, he got down on one knee and asked Paige to marry him—a moment as heartfelt as their connection.

Their wedding at Hotel Haya perfectly captured their shared story. The couple fell in love with Tampa, and the venue’s bricks—sourced from Baltimore, where they first met—were a meaningful detail. Paige and Anthony kept the vibe classic and cool, with personal touches like DIY decor and signage.

From the emotional walk down the aisle to the lively dance party at the reception, every moment was filled with joy and laughter. The couple’s favorite part? That unforgettable moment right after saying "I do" and celebrating surrounded by loved ones.

Sabine + John Step Into The Limelight | Hunter's Green Country Club | Tampa, FL

Sabine + John’s Elegant Celebration | Tampa Palms Wedding Photos

Love, laughter, and an elegant celebration—Sabine and John’s wedding at Hunter’s Green Country Club was the perfect reflection of their journey together. As Tampa wedding photographers, we were honored to capture the joy and beauty of their day, preserving these memories for a lifetime.

A Love Story Worth Celebrating

Sabine and John’s wedding wasn’t just about one perfect day; it was a celebration of their journey together and the future they’re building. Their wedding embodied elegance, love, and a sense of ease, ensuring that every guest felt welcomed and at home.

Honoring Haitian Heritage

Both Sabine and John are of Haitian heritage, and it was such a joy to witness how beautifully their culture was woven throughout the day—from the music and dancing to the language and energy of their friends and family. I even got to use the two Creole phrases I know—“vinny” (come here), which came in handy with the kids, and “sak pase?” (what’s up?), which always brought a smile and the cheerful response, “n'ap boule!”

As someone who has done mission work with children in Haiti, this day felt deeply personal. I haven’t been able to return for the past three years due to travel restrictions and safety concerns, so being surrounded by Haitian culture and joy again truly felt like going home.

The First Look & Emotional Moments

One of the most anticipated moments of the day was the first look. Sabine and John couldn’t wait to see each other for the first time, a moment filled with raw emotion and pure joy. As they locked eyes, the love and excitement for the day ahead were undeniable.

A Stunning Ceremony at Hunter’s Green Country Club

Nestled in the heart of Tampa Palms, Hunter’s Green Country Club provided the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. The couple exchanged heartfelt vows, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Walking down the aisle and saying “I do” were moments they’ll cherish forever.

An Unforgettable Reception & Dancing the Night Away

With DJ Ritchy Mix setting the perfect tone for the evening, the reception was all about celebration and fun. The energy on the dance floor was absolutely infectious. I especially loved spending time with the kids—letting them take turns photographing with my camera added such a special, playful moment to the night. From the elegant décor to the delicious cuisine, every detail reflected Sabine and John’s vision.

Personal Touches & DIY Details

Adding a unique touch, the couple created personalized gift bags for their guests, making everyone feel extra special. Every element of their wedding reflected their thoughtful and elegant style.

Erika + Brian Step Into The Limelight | Carrollwood Country Club | Tampa, FL

Erika and Brian first got introduced to each other through a friend they had in common. Their relationship became closer and closer until one day, while at the Rockefeller Christmas Tree in New York City, Brian proposed to Erika. Erika loves how Brian is loving, caring, and admires his strong sense of style. She adores him and how he is a family man, a fireman and a hard worker. Brian loves Erika’s drive, ambition, her work ethic, how beautiful and friendly she is. Together, they are kind and love to help others. They are truly quite the remarkable couple!

On October 20th, Erika and Brian said their I-Do’s at the Carrollwood Country Club on a day that started out with rain. As the day progressed, the clouds let the sunlight shine down and it turned out to be quite a spectacular day! Once pronounced husband and wife, the two happily danced their way into their reception hall which was decorated with a mixture of candles, flowers, a fireman’s axe, chill pill prescription favors and many other little details that reflected their lives.

It was truly an honor to be part of such a wonderful celebration of love. Congratulations to the new mr. and mrs!

Nina + Cyress Step Into The Limelight | The Orlo | Tampa, FL

The sweetest of people, contagious joy, relentless emotions, meaningful traditions and a strong core foundation. All one needs to embark on an unforgettable journey.

Nina & Cyress met at barber school in 2014 and saw themselves in love and full of love to give in Bangkok Thailand as Cyress proposed to Nina.

Cyress is from Thailand and Nina’s family is from Cuba, their entire wedding day was filled with cultural heritage and traditions, from the groom’s attire to a traditional Thailand dance to the guava treats and cafe con leche during the reception. Witnessing these two families seamlessly embrace each other’s culture was magic 💕

Nina’s vision for her wedding day was a tropical, modern, clean and warm look with wild colors and simple greenery + palms - I think they nailed it! We felt ALL of that! Every little detail was elegant yet easy.

We felt so much love, gentleness and we truly love watching how Nina + Cyress loved on each guest ensuring their gratitude,  it truly was a sight to see {everyone deserves a tight hug from Nina!}

Thank you to the Madera + Kagwast for families for having us be a part of such a special day for Nina + Cyress - Thank you!  We pray that ALL you do be guided in love and may all of you ever dreamt come true.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
