Katie + Andrew Step Into The Limelight | The Rusty Pelican | Tampa, FL

Get to know Katie & Andrew…

How/when did you meet each other:: Andrew and I met in freshman year at the University of Florida. My dorm roommate and I were having a game night at my dorm . One of her friends, Joe (the best man), brought Andrew with him. We played a game called “werewolves” that showed Andrews bright and silly personality. Immediately I was interested, but Andrew was seeing someone else at the time. We had hung out many more times at mutual friend events. one day were were the only ones in the friend group, along with Monica (bridesmaid), who were 21. So naturally we went out together, just the three of us. By this point Andrew was single and Monica could sense our chemistry, so she helped set us up. A few months later, I made the big move and kissed him at midnight during a NYE party. The rest is history!

How did he propose:: After I graduated nursing school, Andrew and I Decided to take a road trip to North Carolina between our birthdays. The plan was to go hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville. At the very first hike of the very first day, after walking up a mile to the top of a hill, Andrew surprised me with his proposal while posing for pictures. I had no idea, it was very sweet. We spent the rest of the trip celebrating our engagement.

What do you love about each other:: Andrew is literally my best friend. We do everything together. We share similar interests, have a lot of mutual friends and love to go on adventures. The more I got to know him, the closer we grew. He always makes me laugh, is an amazing chef, passionate and extremely smart person.

Interests/hobbies you enjoy doing together:: We enjoy playing tennis, watching movies, cooking, going out with friends, competing hard core in board games/foosball.

Two best friends got married! We LOVED being a part of Katie & Andrew’ s special day 🥰 it was a calm, serene day filled with lots of LOVE. We really enjoyed seeing these two interact with each other and their loved ones, it was such a beautiful occasion and just being able to experience so much JOY was a treat.
We wish Katie & Andrew an amazing future as Mr. & Mrs. Cheers to a wonderful couple!

Kirsten + Jackson Step Into The Limelight | Isla del Sol Yacht & Country Club | St. Petersburg, FL

ohh people… you have got to het to know this ahhhmazing couple!

Kirsten & Jackson ♥️

How/when did you meet each other:: We met in 2015 in Pittsburgh during Kirsten's senior year at the University of Pittsburgh through pure fate. Jackson's groomsman, Alex Baker, was dating (now engaged) to Kirsten's Maid of Honor, Cori Plesko (then college roommate), and Jackson was recently stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base about 3 hours away in Ohio. Baker was in Pittsburgh visiting Cori, and invited Jackson out to visit... After that weekend, Jackson just kept visiting Pittsburgh to see Kirsten…

How did he propose:: Jackson was at Air Force Reserves training in Biloxi, MS in the summer of 2020. Kirsten LOVES the beach and visited for Labor Day weekend along the gulf coast. We had an private sunset dinner cruise Thursday, woke up Friday for a long sunrise run together, enjoyed the beach during the day, took out jet skis, surf and turf dinner, and finished with a sunset walk on a secluded beach with an amazing view where we came across a blanket, champagne and Jackson dropped a knee.

What do you love about each other:: Kirsten is driven, smart, and constantly challenges me to become a better person. Jackson is selfless, loyal, loving and my best friend who brightens my days constantly.

Interests/hobbies you enjoy doing together:: Running, hiking, kayaking, brewery hopping, traveling to new places, watching movies

When I tell you… I instantly feel in love with these people! Yes… whole truth! The are sincere, kind, sweet, caring, loving… all that oouuie goouiie stuff! Yes! These two and their families. Their wedding day didn’t go as planned due to an unexpected Florida storm but that didn’t even faze them… they laughed they danced and true enjoyed every single moment of their day with the people they love.

Kaya + Brian Step Into The Limelight | Town Manor on the Lake | Auburndale, FL

Brian and Kaya first met in 2014 at USF, where Brian was pursuing his B.S in Physics, and Kaya was completing her Ph.D in Physics. They met in the lab of Dr. George Nolas (in attendance), but were both quite busy at the time and did not end up dating until 2016 after they had both graduated. They then later moved to Tallahassee together in 2017 with Kaya working at FSU and Brian Pursuing his Masters in Mechanical Engineering.

Talk about a smart couple! Smart AND kind, these two are a beautiful pair that were clearly made for each other. They accent each other like two pieces of a puzzle. Throughout the day they were constantly making sure not only their partner, but everyone in attendance was having a good time. Everyone in attendance had a blast, and Brian and Kaya were the most stunning couple. The ceremony was bright and beautiful (albeit a tad windy), and the reception was cozy and love-filled.

I am so blessed to have been a part of their special day and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Farah + Nicholas Step Into The Limelight | Tampa River Center | Tampa, FL

Traditional, Natural, Romantic.

Farah and Nicholas are originally from very different parts of the world -  Farah from Belgium 🇧🇪, Nicholas from Cuba 🇨🇺. They met unexpectedly on Bumble and quickly realized they love EVERYTHING about each other! And the proposal was so cute! Nicholas surprised Farah on Christmas Eve. He told her his family cancelled family plans for Christmas, so she was very upset. At the last minute he said let’s just go over to your family’s house for a little bit. Both families were there and Nicholas proposed in front of everyone! Farah was so surprised and happy!

Farah’s personality is more uptight, organized and she plans everything to the minute. Nicholas is calm and keeps everything happy and relaxed. It is a wonderful balance between the two! Together they enjoy watching shows together and walking their Standard Poodle “Ermes” every night. The name is based on her favorite purse (the Hermes) and his favorite animation. Farrah has very limited time, so when she does get free time they love to travel together.

Farah and Nicolas were so excited to bring both sides of their families together and everyone had a really good time! Their wedding venue, Tampa River Center, is located in the newly re-opened Julian B Lane Riverfront Park. This center has gorgeous views of the Tampa skyline and Hillsborough River.

Farah and Nicholas were so anxious and excited about walking down the aisle! It was a wonderful moment for both of them as they embraced the genuine reaction and emotion of this special moment.

Just like Farah and Nicholas, their wedding was very family oriented. Their guests felt very comfortable and relaxed - it was a perfect blending of their families and guests of all ages.

Megan + Ryan Step Into The Limelight | The Rusty Pelican | Tampa, FL

from Megan’s POV:

Ryan and I fell in love in graduate school. I am a year older and we were only in SLC together as a couple for 6 months before I moved across the country to Tennessee for my first job. We did long distance for a year before he blindly moved to Tennessee without a job to see if our relationship was the one. I think of our relationship as over coming a lot of obstacles from distance to family tragedies. We always look to each other for support and companionship through everything and we truly are each others best friends.

We enjoy watching/going to sporting events together. We LOVE our dog Lucy. When we lived in Utah and Tennessee we enjoyed hiking and getting out in the mountains together. We enjoy starting tv shows together and dumb humor like "The Office.”

Megan & Ryan’s wedding day was classic and simple with lots of elegant and unique touches… I mean did you see Megan’s stunning dress? Truly one of a kind and Megan looked so beautiful in it! AND did you see Ryan’s ever-so-classically-fun tie and socks? That’s their dog Lucy’s face on those socks! lol We love that so much.

Every moment was so special and we truly enjoyed being a pat of Megan & Ryan’s special day.

ps. wanna find Megan? Look for her on the dance floor and NEVER forget to give her enough space to MOVE 💃🏼
