A Magical Sunrise Engagement at St. Pete Pier: Haillie & Easton

St Pete wedding photographers know the challenges of Florida’s unpredictable summer weather, but after three rain cancellations, we finally captured the magic during a sunrise session at the iconic St. Pete Pier. Originally planned for Pass-A-Grille Beach, we shifted to the pier to catch the breathtaking sunrise over the water — and the results couldn’t have been more perfect.

Haillie and Easton’s engagement session started before dawn, with the glow of the pier’s lights creating a stunning backdrop. As the sky brightened, the couple explored the pier, discovering hidden gems for their portraits. One serendipitous moment was finding an airplane sculpture — a perfect nod to Haillie’s upcoming journey in the Air Force. Another special touch came when we reached the marina, with sailboats reflecting Easton’s Navy service, creating a meaningful connection to their love story.

The most unforgettable moment? Easton’s surprise proposal — again! While already engaged, he chose to propose during the sunrise session, mirroring his original sunrise proposal. It felt like everything had come full circle, making the moment even more heartfelt. Haillie’s “yes” was as strong as ever!

Though there was a light sprinkle as we made our way to the pier, the rain cleared, leaving behind a soft, romantic glow that was perfect for capturing their connection.

Shonteka + Larry Step Into The Limelight | Harborside Chapel | The CHIC Venue - USF | Tampa, FL

It was such a joy to be part of Shonteka and Larry’s special day, a celebration filled with so much love and happiness! This beautiful couple, who met through a mutual friend back in 2011, finally tied the knot after 13 years together and raising six amazing kids. Their love story has always been about having each other's backs, and their wedding day was the perfect reflection of that bond.

The celebration started with an intimate ceremony at Harborside Chapel, where emotions were running high as Shonteka and Larry exchanged heartfelt vows. One of the highlights for me was capturing those candid moments when they promised forever to each other. Shonteka had said she was most looking forward to this moment, and it truly did not disappoint.

Following the ceremony, we headed to The CHIC Venue, a space that perfectly matched their vision of a "fancy but not over the top" wedding. The venue's elegant decor was just right for this couple, whose style reflected their love of family and fun. Their wedding was a perfect blend of elegance and warmth. With family being at the heart of everything they do, this celebration felt like the culmination of their beautiful journey together.

The evening was filled with laughter and heartfelt toasts, as their closest family and friends celebrated not just their love but their enduring commitment. After all these years, Shonteka and Larry’s connection remains unshakable, and their love for each other is evident in every glance, every smile. This wedding, the “icing on the cake,” as Shonteka called it, was a tribute to their journey—a journey built on balancing each other out and always putting their family first.

From their love of traveling, reading, and enjoying good food together (which Shonteka humorously considers a hobby!), to the joy they radiated throughout the day, their story was captured in the most photojournalistic style. The entire day was a series of these moments, each filled with love, laughter, and genuine emotion.

Kayleigh and Julian's wedding at The Current Hotel in Tampa was nothing short of a dream. With the Gulf Coast providing a stunning backdrop, their special day was a perfect blend of coastal charm and modern elegance.

The ceremony took place on the hotel’s private beach, where the sun kissed the ocean, and a gentle breeze added to the serene atmosphere. Kayleigh, looking absolutely breathtaking in her flowing white gown, walked down a sandy aisle adorned with delicate seashells and tropical flowers. Julian, waiting at the altar with a look of pure love, was dressed in a sharp suit that perfectly complemented the coastal setting. Surrounded by family and friends, the couple exchanged vows under a beautifully decorated archway with the calming sound of waves in the background.

After the ceremony, the celebration moved indoors to The Current Hotel’s elegant ballroom. The reception space was transformed into a chic setting with floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic water views. Guests enjoyed a gourmet dinner After the couple’s first dance! It was a magical moment, with the lights dimmed and the twinkle of candles creating an intimate atmosphere. The night continued with lively music, dancing, and celebrating the love and commitment shared by Kayleigh and Julian. At the end of the night the two shared a private last dance to end the beautiful day of celebration.

We were honored to capture the love story of Lisa and Apostolos at their stunning wedding celebration. This couple first met in 1982 on a handball court in middle school 🏫, and after 42 years of friendship and fun, they finally tied the knot 💍. Apostolos proposed in December 2023 🎄, following a month-long trip to Greece and Italy 🇬🇷🇮🇹, in front of their closest friends. Their wedding story was straight out of a Hallmark movie—a tale of young love rekindled ❤️.

The theme of their wedding reflected their love for the beach 🏖️, boats ⛵, and their rich Greek and Italian heritages. The elegant and timeless outfits perfectly complemented the coastal vibe 🌊, while the DIY details added a personal touch. Wedding colors: Dusty Blue, Beach theme, beige, dusty rose. The couple made a grand entrance at the Tarpon Springs Yacht Club by boat 🚤, and the day was filled with unforgettable moments like a bubble exit during the ceremony, Greek dancing 💃, and breathtaking photos with a classic Rolls-Royce at the Spring Bayou.

There’s something undeniably magical about an engagement shoot that blends the natural beauty of a location with the genuine affection of a couple. That’s exactly what I experienced during Jacquie and Chris’s engagement session at Philippe Park. From the picturesque waterfront views to the charming tree-lined stairways, this shoot was a perfect canvas for capturing their love story.

Philippe Park, nestled along the serene waters, offered an idyllic backdrop for Jacquie and Chris’s engagement photos. The gentle waves of the bay, framed by lush greenery, created a stunning contrast that highlighted their connection. As we walked down the park’s enchanting stairs, framed by trees that whispered with the breeze, it was clear that this location was more than just a spot for photos—it was a symbol of their journey together.

One of the highlights of this session was undoubtedly the presence of Jacquie and Chris’s beloved dogs. These two furry friends added an extra layer of warmth and joy to the shoot. As they playfully bounded through the grass and posed for the camera with their humans, it was evident how much they are a cherished part of this couple’s life.
