From the moment I spoke with this couple, I could sense how much fun they would be. They radiated joy and a laid-back energy that I knew would translate into their wedding day. Held at the stunning Wyndham Grand Clearwater, their wedding was the perfect blend of love, laughter, and relaxation – everything they had envisioned and more.

I still remember them telling me how they met on Bumble in 2021, after years of chatting on Snapchat and texting. Their love story, as they put it, was typical for modern times, but the connection between them is anything but ordinary. John proposed during a trip to Puerto Rico while celebrating the bride’s abuelita’s 102nd birthday. It was at sunset, on a beach, and a moment she'll never forget. “BEST DECISION EVER!” she said with a big smile, recalling how John and her sister had convinced her to head to the beach that evening instead of the bar. Moments like these were woven throughout their wedding day, a reflection of their lighthearted spirits.

Their wedding at Wyndham Grand Clearwater was the perfect balance of rustic elegance, a beachy yet modern vibe. As one of the Sarasota wedding photographers, I always feel honored to capture the moments that bring families and friends together, especially in settings as beautiful as The Resort at Longboat Key Club. This time, I had the pleasure of photographing Madison and Drake's unforgettable beach wedding. Their story, filled with laughter, friendship, and love, was evident throughout every detail of their special day.

Madison and Drake met in 2020 at Nolin Lake, introduced by mutual friends Kyle and Fallon. Fallon and Madison had been friends for nearly 20 years, having grown up together playing volleyball, and Fallon was also a long-time friend of Drake through her husband, Kyle. The introduction took place on a boat ride, and it took about a year before Drake finally asked Madison on their first date. From that point on, their relationship flourished, leading to a memorable proposal at a birthday party that Madison had helped plan for Drake and Kyle. With their closest friends and family gathered, Drake surprised her with a beautiful setup, arranged with the help of Fallon, and asked Madison to be his wife—exactly the kind of proposal Madison had always dreamed of.

The couple wanted a destination wedding that truly reflected their personalities—a cozy and intimate gathering where they could soak in every moment with the people they loved most.
